Quality and Risk Manager
North Richmond Community Health (NRCH) is committed to making healthcare more accessible and culturally relevant. With the recent addition of Victoria’s first Medically Supervised Injecting Room, NRCH is dedicated to combating stigma and discrimination experienced by people who use drugs, and improving their quality of life.
NRCH provides a range of medical, allied health, dental and community services to clients from all backgrounds. They also provide specialist health services in other parts of Victoria, and works with health, government and community services around the country.
Reporting to the Chief Nurse, the Quality and Risk Manager will be responsible for managing risk and Clinical Governance frameworks and registers within NRCH to enable the identification and tracking of strategic risk and supporting the development of related policies, processes and activities related to risk and quality. This position works across the organisation with key Program Managers to support a culture of continuous improvement in quality and risk frameworks and to co-ordinate and support NRCH across all areas of risk to ensure alignment and effective operation and compliance with accreditation standards and legislation. The Quality and Risk Manager will also act as an expert advisor to senior Executives and the Board through involvement in case reviews, analysis and reporting to pro-actively identify and remediate process gaps.
To be considered you will have a relevant tertiary qualification and extensive health sector experience, with a specific focus on quality and risk. You’ll be familiar with relevant accreditation frameworks, and ideally will have led or made a significant contribution to an accreditation process. You’ll enjoy working autonomously but as part of a broader team with an objective of integrating risk and quality improvement into work practices and processes. Well-developed stakeholder, negotiation and influencing skills, along with an attention detail will be essential to your success in the role.
