The Moreland Energy Foundation Ltd (MEFL) is a not-for-profit organisation, committed to accelerating the energy transition by empowering communities to take action. The future of energy will look radically different to energy today, and so they are working hard to ensure communities play a meaningful part in this transition and no one gets left behind. MEFL’s work is delivered through large-scale programs, local council programs, grants, partnerships and directly to the community, working across Australia, with offices in Melbourne and Sydney.

This a unique opportunity to join MEFL as a key Executive on the leadership team, managing the Major Projects, Zero Carbon Strategy Programs and Services Units. Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Delivery will lead a committed team in the delivery of a number of projects, ensuring that income targets and margins are achieved and that the work has the desired impact and quality that MEFL is recognised for.

MEFL presents the right candidate with an opportunity to make a significant impact in reducing the effects of climate change as they experience significant program growth that will deliver its new Strategic Plan. This role will lead high performing, passionate teams, actively develop new business opportunities, and effectively manage and report on each of the KPI dashboards in the Zero Carbon Programs and Services. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Extensive leadership expertise, with the ability to motivate and inspire others
  • Motivation, drive and creativity to source, develop and deliver high impact projects
  • Strong Project Management, Sales and Financial Management skills
  • A flexible, well organized approach with a customer service orientation
  • Rigorous approach to business planning, reporting and focus on delivering results

This is an exciting time to join MEFL as the energy sector transforms to a more sustainable future. Your background may include experience in a consulting environment or project management discipline, in either a commercial/sales, government, or NFP organization. With your sophisticated communication skills, you’ll be able to easily engage with a range of stakeholders and pro-actively build relationships within and external to the organization. Whilst a background in the renewables/energy efficiency sector is desirable, the right values, attitude and skills listed above are more important in order to be successful in the role.
